I have travelled extensively, this includes many years sailing in the Mediterranean and Atlantic. Undoubtedly travelling has influenced my art in many ways. Light is one of my biggest fascinations. The infinite variations means there will always be inspiration everywhere -whether it be an incredible long lasting colourful Scottish sun set, a small street or close in a Mediterranean town to a vast Australian desert, or just a simple object sitting on a table. Capturing an elusive moment and mood in an abstract or still life painting is my constant quest. The serendipitous results are always worth the journey. Oil on canvas is my preferred medium.
